My daughter is a lip-kisser.

My son is not.  You can kiss him on the cheek.  He’ll kiss you on the cheek.  No more… no less.

But if you’re going to get a kiss from my daughter, it’s going to be square on the lips.  As I tucked her into bed the other night I gave her the normal hug and kiss.

And she gave me more.

I could tell from the get-go this kiss was different.  She came at me with the lips primed and ready.  Planted those wet ones square on mine and even gave it a head swagger.

You know the kind I’m talking about.  The “I’ve-seen-daddy-do-this” prolonged smackeroo.

Oh-My-Word

Let me be clear for all those wondering… it was lips only.  No additional props used.  At the same time, let me reiterate…

Oh-My-Word

Any parenting experts out there have sage advice for this mother-daughter conversation?!?

Haha that is funny!!! I had a little boy in under the sea kiss a little girl once. Square on the lips his hands on her face, his head moving back and forth. I asked himwhat he was doing and he told me he was kissing her like spiderman kisses.
  • My daughter is the EXACT same way. She will not be satisfied with the kiss on the forehead, cheek, or blowing kisses. It must be on the lips, or "tips" is what she calls it...
  • turn off the Disney Channel!!
    have fun with that!!
    how we miss your family!!
  • Love it!!! I have no advice, but appreciate the laugh at your expense. :)
  • My son also likes the lip kisses. I say we put them together and see what happens... OK just joking. Seriously though, I got a bag full of nothing on advice. Thanks for the laugh.
  • "Those kinds of kisses you need to save for your husband when you get married."

I'm trying not to laugh, but I can't help it. I'll at least not laugh in front of you.
  • None of us have any good advice.
But, thanks for putting yourself out there and making us smile.

My 2 yr old son is a lip kisser too.
But, not just goodnight kisses... he kisses my entire office staff goodbye each time he leaves with Mommy. On the lips.
    It's adorable/hilarious.
  • Started to scare me there... no advice, better take care of that before others are the recipient of those moments.
