Wind whips across the house, rattling the windows. The weather alarm screams to life as thunder disrupts the pounding rain.
I’m sitting in Kyle’s closet with all 3 kids.
Keegan overdramatizes the moment asking all the ‘what if’ questions while Connor sits in my lap pulling on hangers. I know by midnight I’ll be thankful for the sleeper pjs, but right now he’s making me sweat.
Josie closes her eyes and prays for everyone on the earth to be safe… amen.
A precious moment to savor… only to be interrupted by the apparent ‘prayer’ fatique that suddenly overcame her.
In a huge, overexageratted sigh, she says, “There… I did it.” She melts into her pillow as if she just fought the battle of armageddon, itself.
Like a cross between James Brown (I can’t go on. I can’t go on.) and Benny Hinn (Be Heyaled, my brother).
Oh my word.

You have got to install a camera in there. This is priceless. I can picture them all.

That’s great! I think we’ll look back across our lives and catch a glimpse of these very moments. How fast they grow up.
I only hope that when I’m a crotchety old bat in the assisted living facility that they come sit with me in the closet!

I did prepare the coveted safe spot. All the while Terry looked at me like I was nuts. The girls were in their own beds though!

My Connor is the same way with storms. We got stuck at church after Konnect becasue he was not leaving with the sirens going off. Too funny

Gina as I commented on Natalie’s blog. Born and breed California girl here. I will take an earthquake over the tornados you guys get. I said a prayer for you all this morning when I turned on the weather channel. Glad you are all safe.

I’ve been watching all these storms and praying—and now our turn with freezing rain/sleet/snow storm coming. Glad you all are safe…

Okay Cindy & Stacey, I’ll ponder the Jabbercam idea. That would make for some interesting tv.
Theresa & Rindy, Appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Tornadoes are crazy scary. Rindy, stay safe!
I just love and appreciate everyone’s comments. You guys are so encouraging!
