Try reading the parable of the talents from Matthew 25 without mentally translating the word talent into a dollar figure. I've always thought that was an odd translation anomaly in the Bible in English. God expects a good ROI from what he has entrusted to each of us.

A freind of mine said something to me that changed my view of everything.
He said everything we have had, do have and are going to have is God's and we are just borrowing it for a while, so take care of it becasue some day you have to give it back.
That really struck a cord with me and changed the way I see material things forever

Stewardship as a leader is helping the people we lead look inside and uncover the talent God has given them and setting them up for success in developing and utilizing these talents.

As a leader I would say that is what I need to be maximizing.
