Jason Curlee gave me the opportunity to share a little on his blog about Children’s Ministry. The opportunity to speak to ministry leaders in this context affected my approach a little. I don’t think I’ve ever revised a post so many times! If you’re interested in knowing my view on kids ministry within the church, click here.
I appreciate the opportunity Jason.

AMEN SISTER!
I was anxiously awaiting this post!!! I stand in awe of your passion and heart. I forget that sometimes we limit ourselves to this world and are perfectly happy inside the box and thinking inside a smaller box. If we really let our hearts soar on the fact that we can impact children’s lives and teach them to impact those bigger, stronger, and more mature then they are we could have a world built on the innocence and love that is inside a heart of a 4 year old or 10 year old. You have hit it!!

JC,
Man, I think I was waiving my bible for a minute.
Thanks for the encouragement and comments, guys. But you know it’s not from me. I’m the most unlikely voice for this.

The implication is that it would break God’s heart most of all. I’m confused. I thought you aliens considered a broken heart a valuable commodity? I’m not criticizing. Very thought provoking post.

Oops. Sorry if my comment was confusing. It was in response to the previous post titled “I just saw it…”

This is great! We were talking about these exact thoughts this past week. Too often so many think that kids (and teens) just need to be occupied while “church” is for adults. Or, we expect too little when in fact they are not only quite capable, but often very eager! THIS is definitely what I’m working into everything we’re planning!
Great thoughts!!!
